Quaint little escape from city life

Onsen facilities were great! Rooms were well maintained despite the slightly dated facade, which actually adds to the charm of being in japan’s countryside. Location was accessible via car without any issues.

Nice standard onsen hotel offering great sea views

Loved the onsen and views from the room. Especially on good weather the morning view is spectacular from the room and outdoor onsen. Breakfast is traditional Japanese fair with some breads and hot drinks available. Great value. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Futons weren't as comfortable as some we stayed in on this trip.

Highly recommend excellent dinner and breakfast. The staff is extremely kind and hospitable. It was comfortable to sleep. Great onsen experience. There was an adapter for sockets

Wonderful

Although the room is a little dated, it is clean and came with a superb seaview. Hotel has its own onsen which opens from 530 am to 12 MN. The staff were polite and tried to accede to all our needs. Do note that you need to prebook dinner and BF at the hotel. We arrive late (approximately 7 pm) at the hotel and was hoping to have dinner at the hotel instead of going out for dinner. However, we were told that the kitchen is not able to cater for last minute walk-in.

It will be good if guests are able to walk-in for dinner or BF.

I probably would not stay here again.

My large room was overlooking the water which was lovely, the breakfast was really good as a traditional Japanese breakfast experience. Some staff spoke English.

I could smell cigarette smoke in my room from outside the hall and I was supposed to be in a non smoking area. I was uncomfortable on the futon as it was quite thin and I did get another one out of the cupboard to pad it up. The restaurant did not open for dinner as advertised. I think the outside Onsen was closed for repairs and this was the reason I booked this hotel but was unable to access it.

Fine but nothing special

Location within walking distance from the station. Sea views for some rooms.

Not v welcoming - rather like a Soviet block from the outside and in reception area. Check in is only from 3pm but then at 3.05pm there are huge queues as everyone wants to check in at once! Several large restaurant areas - you are allocated a table in one for your stay. Ours was very canteen like - harsh lighting, not very comfortable. Food ok but not amazing.

Not too major like Urashima, so relatively quiet and a comfort "onsen" hotel.

A little far from the train station and no free shuttle.

Old Hotel with great onsen

The onsen in the hotel is amazing and made our stay really great. Our Japanese style room was very spacious and had the best view of the ocean. Although their English wasn't great, staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to help.

The hotel badly needs a refurbishment. You can tell it was a luxury hotel in the past, but it must have been 20 years ago. Wfi was not working, and our room smelt of tobacco.

Very Good

The rooms were lovely and super spacious. They also had an amazing view. Hotel was conveniently located close to the train station and a convenient store.

Some features felt a little dated but everything was clean.

Although the staffs worked hard, it felt like there were management issues after the acquisition.

It's good to have a private hot spring in the room. The front desk and restaurant staffs were very nice, and the Japanese style meals were very rich.

Corridors and elevator smells bad. Clearly felt understaffed. Facilities in the room are a bit old and looked not cleaned very well.

Lovely ryokan experience in a quaint seaside hotel

Lovely staff, welcoming and eager to help, providing excellent service. The hotel has a romantic old-timer vibe, yet the facilities are in good condition. The outdoor bath was beautiful in the morning with the fresh sea breeze and outstanding view, and the breakfast was exceptional. Would stay again!

There was no option to exchange the down bedding for a hypoallergenic synthetic option. Otherwise, clenching on straws to find a negative.

Amazing place! The onsen is awesome, especially the outdoors one. The views are fantastic, the Japanese breakfast is excellent. The slightly dated style is part of the charm. 100% would stay here again.

Strangely, there was no soap in the bathroom. The mattresses are a bit too hard.
